Kari Anttila

Sales Director of Formia Emissions Control Oy. He has over 20 years experience in various project and sales positions. He has earlier worked as a Business Unit Director in Formia Vesme Oy and as a Sales Director and Project Engineer in Vesme Systems Oy since 1998, being responsible for the business operations, sales and key client relationships as well as project management of automatic materials handling solutions. Based on this experience, he has a broad knowledge in the sales and service of industrial equipment. Formerly he has worked in various project management  and teaching positions the field of adult education. He has also served as UN Military Observer and Sector Engineer in two occasions in the Balkans during 1992-1996. Prior to that he has worked in construction business as General Manager and Project Manager.

Wilfried Enzenhofer

Managing Director (CEO) of Upper Austrian Research GmbH (UAR). More than 30 years of professional career and competence in electrical engineering (electronics), computer science, automation technologies, information technologies, technology transfer as well as management of research and innovation.

As Managing Director, Project Manager, Evaluator and Reviewer (EC) with a concession and trade licence for consulting, planning and engineering, well versed in specific training seminars, professional industrial seminars, international scientific publications and referring activities in co-operations for technology and research.

Erastos Filos

Erastos Filos is Head of the Sector "Intelligent Manufacturing Systems" at the European Commission. He coordinates ICT Programme activities in Factories of the Future and in IMS, a global R&D collaborative programme. Born in Greece, he has obtained an MSc in Physics from Hamburg University and holds a PhD from Constance University, Germany. After his university research he went to industry, first at Perkin Elmer Corp. and then at Bosch in Germany.

In 1993 he joined the European Commission's ESPRIT programme to work as
Research Administrator. Mr Filos is the author of over 40 research publications and has contributed to four books.

Petteri Korpioja

Petteri Korpioja, M.Sc, Born 1975. Managing Director & Entrepreneur of Ariterm Oy. Earlier work experience includes the position of Production Director in Central Eastern Europe in Rautaruukki Oyj. Board Member of  Bioenergy Association of Finland and member of the Company development management group of the Keski-Suomi region.  

Mikko Laakkkonen

Mikko is currently working as a Business Development Manager in  Hydroline Oy. He is responsible of the company's internationalization  as well as creating new and innovative tools & business models to  increase the company's profitability and allow the future growth.

Despite of his young age, he has already gained strong experience from  the industry: "I have been extremely lucky to work in a fastly  developing family business as one of the owners. During the past  years, I've been working in multiple positions in our company from  assembly line to Sales Controller. This has allowed me to learn the  processes thoroughly and understand the customer requirements better.  My aim is to create a fruitfull and innovative working environment,  which will allow us to think out of the box and change the whole  industry.

Mikko Salminen

Mikko Salminen has been working with the manufacturing and assembly industry for 12 years. His former tasks include R&D work in the body and interior design department at Valmet Automotive and design, simulation, and sales of modular assembly and manufacturing systems at FlexLink. He has been restructuring production processes for a number of industrial manufacturing plants in Europe: from telecom and electronics assembly all the way to bearing assembly and manufacturing of prescription lenses for eye glasses.

In his current position Mr. Salminen is responsible for the sales in the EMEA territory at Visual Components. He is in direct contact with end customers using the affordable digital manufacturing solutions from Visual Components. His responsibilities cover also several indirect reseller and OEM sales channels in Europe.

The combination of working over ten years with simulation and at the same time studying and improving manufacturing processes in various different industry segments has given him a good understanding of the common improvement areas that could be tackled by any manufacturer out there.

Having studied at the Tampere University of Technology, Mr. Salminen holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with Production Engineering as his major.

Burak Kirman

Burak Kirman, M.Sc., is currently working as a Project Researcher at Department of Production Engineering, Tampere University of Technology. He is a candidate for Doctoral degree.

He has knowledge in research projects and experience from successful industrial cases related to production system design and development mainly in metal industry. He is currently working on a project in the area of Competitive and Sustainable Manufacturing in which he is mainly responsible for company case studies.

Mr. Kirman has also worked for Finpro ry and consulted the Finnish companies in their internationalization process in Turkey. 

Antti Pulkkinen

Antti Pulkkinen (antti.pulkkinen@tut.fi), received Dr. Tech. degree  from Tampere University of Technology in 2007. Currently, he works as an Associate Professor at TTE/TUT. Since 1996, he has been involved in a number of process, product development and PLM related research projects. He has been an author of more than 20 international articles, editor of a three proceedings and one educational book. Pulkkinen has participated in the review committees of several conferences and in one Journalin and one Ph.D. dissertation. He has been participating in the instruction and evaluation of more than 15 M.Sc. theses (mostly in the fields of product structuring and PLM).
