Excellence and originality are the gist of the Tampere Region’s brand

Tampere Region is the second largest growth centre in Finland. The region now has an international brand, expressed verbally in the slogan “All Bright!” that stands for high quality of life, clean and unspoilt nature, and the regional players’ ability to create something new.

The “All Bright!” slogan stems from a strong historical background: Tampere is known as the birthplace of the Finnish industry, and the city continues to be a forerunner in several fields of science and technology.

It also refers to a lively region rich in culture, where residents enjoy their smoothly-running and safe everyday life. The pristine nature is at everyone’s reach.

“Our brand work focused on bringing the region’s strengths and special features centre stage in order to increase the global visibility and recognition of the Tampere Region.  The brand will make us better equipped to compete for tourists, investments and skilled workforce,” explains the woman in charge of the brand work, Anne-Mari Järvelin from the Tampere Region Economic Development Agency Tredea.

The Tampere Region brand was the result of a year’s work carried out by Tredea and several marketing communications specialists. In addition, almost a hundred representatives from more than 50 organisations took part in brand workshops.

The brand will be used by Tredea as a tool in tourism marketing and to attract business and research investments in the Tampere Region. The brand and all material created in connection with the brand work will be available to all the Region’s companies and international players alike.

“A group of companies operating in the region have already seized this opportunity. By using consistent material we can avoid unnecessary work, generate cost savings, and accomplish more,” Järvelin concludes.

The objective of the Tampere Region Economic Development Agency Tredea is to maintain and strengthen the attraction of the region and to prepare the ground for successful business. Tredea is owned by the region’s municipalities Kangasala, Lempäälä, Nokia, Orivesi, Pirkkala, Tampere, Vesilahti and Ylöjärvi.
